“ This is the same restaurant I visited 9 years ago in Wellington. The menu has changed. We can not find the same size of pork ribs and lamb chop we had it 9 years before. But the lamb today is still OK. I appreciate it still remains and also miss the past time. ”
“ Great food and excellent Service. Our waitress Tori made us feel very welcome and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we wanted. We shared the clam chowder and garlic bread to start. It was the best chowder I've had in a long time. Full of flavour. You can't tell from the photo but it's thicker than it looks. My wife had the fish of the day and I had the eye fillet. She loved the fish and my steak was perfectly cooked and so juicy. We shared the crinkle-cut fries and lettuce sides. We couldn't fault anything. We highly recommend Portlander. ”

But if your looking a wholesome meal that will make you feel like your home then this is where you want to go. Its a steak house in a hotel lobby, but they sure know their meat. ”
“ We tried the breakfast buffet in Portlander and it was great. The breakfast service includes everything you want not just the bare minimum. They have lots of different pastries and bread. The sausage was amazing! I think their hash browns are homemade? They were crispy and not oily. They also have pancakes and waffles to choose from as well as cereals, fruit juices etc. Very satisfied! Cost: $35 per person ”
